Winnipeg's 4th choice, 75th overall, in 1990 Entry Draft. Claimed by Miami Panthers in Expansion Draft, June 24, 1993.
The Jets selected big winger Scott Levins in the fourth round of the 1990 Entry Draft and he made his Jets debut in his third season in the Jets' organization, playing nine games in 1992-1993. He was claimed by the Panthers in the Expansion Draft in 1993 and bounced around several organizations, including the relocated Jets' franchise in Arizona, before moving on to finish his playing career with various stops in the minor leagues and in Europe. While in Germany late in the 2001-2002 season, he was fined $2,600 by the German Ice Hockey League and fined an undisclosed amount by the Berlin Polar Bears for using the word “Nazi” in an argument with an opponent. However, he was cleared of accusations that he a stiff-armed Nazi salute. Levins later apologized for his actions, but he was suspended by his team for the remainder of the regular season.
