Traded to Jets with Tim Trimper by Chicago Black Hawks for Peter Marsh, December 1, 1980. Claimed by Pittsburgh Penguins in Waiver Draft, October 4, 1982.
The Jets acquired winger Doug Lecuyer from the Chicago Black Hawks in December 1980 and he spent the rest of the 1980-1981 season with the Jets. After one season with the Jets' farm team in Tulsa, the Pittsburgh Penguins claimed him in the Waiver Draft and he spent one season in the Penguins' organization before retiring. Lecuyer was originally a second-round selection of the Black Hawks in the 1978 Amateur Draft and he spent two and a half seasons in their organization before joining the Jets.
