The story starts in Digiworld about 30 years after the end of season 2. There have not been any major technological advances, but the digidestined from 01, 02 are all grown up. Also, this story does not go with the last scene. Not everyone has a digimon.

For the fifth time that day, Gatomon counted the digi-eggs. As usual, there were 11. She didn't really need to count them so often. There was only one entrance to the small cave, and she had been watching that entrance intently all day. The only reason she counted the digi-eggs so often was because she had nothing else to do. Just then, Patamon flew in.

"How's it going?" He asked.

"Same as always. I sit here all day with nothing to do." she sighed. "At least you come to visit quite often. If you didn't, I'd probably go crazy, sitting here alone.

"Still no sign of the new DigiDestined?" Patamon asked.

Gatomon shook her head. "I hope they get here soon. I'm getting tired of waiting."

Meanwhile, in the real world
The scene opens with a wide shot of Patricia Whitebear kayaking on the Atlantic Ocean. She paddles around for a while, then finds a river running inland. She takes a sip from her water bottle, then, with an eager look on her face, she paddles towards the river. Suddenly, there is a flash of light and a splash as something hits the water. Stopping the boat, Patricia turns to look, just as a round furry creature hops onto the back of the kayak. Dropping the item it has been carrying onto the back of the kayak, the creature procedes to shake the water from its fur. Looking at the item the creature was carrying, Patricia notices it looks like a D-3 digivice from the digimon t.v. show.

Cubmon:	(shaking the water from his fur) Oh, that's cold! (he gives his tail an extra shake.) I hate it when my fur gets wet!
Patricia:	(to herself) Could Digimon be real? Could that really be a Digimon? Then there's that D-3. (She reaches for the D-3. Just as her hand touches it, it starts glowing.)
Cubmon:	(Notices the light, looks at Patricia, then starts bouncing around excitedly) Oh! You must be Patricia! (starts bouncing harder, then jumps to the front of the kayak)
Patricia:	(Turns to face forward) Yes, I'm Patricia. But could you please stop bouncing like that? You'll tip the boat.
Cubmon:	Sorry, I'm just so excited! (he stops bouncing)
Patricia:	(holds out her arms and Cubmon comes to her) Who are you anyway?
Cubmon:	I'm Cubmon, a Digital Monster, or a Digimon for short. We're partners!
Patricia:	(laughs) I kind of guessed the bit about being partners. I've heard of Digimon before, on a T.V. show.
Cubmon:	What's a T.V. show?
Patricia:	It's something us humans watch for entertainment.
Cubmon:	Oh! I'd fit right in! I'm very entertaining! (Does a backflip.)
Patricia:	(laughs) I'll let you see the t.v. show about Digimon when we go to Samanthat's house this afternoon. For now, just enjoy the ride. (she sets Cubmon down on the kayak and continues paddling towards the river.

Patricia is pulling her kayak onto the shore while Cubmon is perched on her head using his tail for balance.

Cubmon:	That was fun! Now I get to see a t.v. show, right?
Patricia:	Soon. (Looks at her watch) The one about Digimon starts in 10 minutes, but first we have to get to Samantha's house. (She runs up the hill to Samantha's house. Samantha is outside with Julia and Tanya.)
Tanya:	(Looking at the creature sitting on Patricia's head.) That looks a bit like a Digimon.
Patricia:	That's because he is a Digimon. (She introduces Cubmon to Sam, Tanya, and Julia, then shows them her digivice.)
Julia:	Wow! A D-3!
Tanya:	And it's blue! Maybe you'll marry Davis! (laughs)
Cubmon:	Who's Davis?
Patricia:	Someone on the T.V. show. His digivive is blue, just like mine.
Cubmon:	Am I his Digimon too?
Sam:	No, he has a Veemon.
Cubmon:	(Grunts jealously) A rookie?
Patricia:	Let me guess, you're only at the in-training level.
(Cubmon nods)
Sam:	There's no reason to be jealous. Davis and Veemon spend most of their time in the Digital World. When they come back to our world, Veemon becomes DemiVeemon.
Patricia:	You'll get to the rookie level soon enough. Now, let's go inside and watch the show.
Sam:	(As they enter the house) The satelite is in for repair today, but I do have a video. At least we're not missing a new show. (takes the video out of its case and puts it into the VCR) Patricia, do you remember when you told me about a Digimon movie that you read about?
Patricia:	Do you mean the one that tells the story about what happened at Hightonview Terrace, or the one about the evil Digimon on the internet?
Sam:	(Smiles and holds up the video case) Both! Plus another one you didn't hear about. I just got it yesterday and I've already watched it five times, and made screen caps of the entire first movie. I think the first one is the best. (starts ff over the previews.) There's an introduction but we can skip that. (stops ff at the start of the movie.) Wait 'til you see Kari! (laughs)
Older Kari does VO, then a much younger Kari appears on screen.)
All:	(Oohs and ahs) She's so cute!
(The show continues. At the end of the first movie, Sam stops the tape.)
Sam:	So, what did you think of that?
Cubmon:	Which one was Davis? Was he the one that said "Come on Tai"?
Patricia:	Davis wasn't in this show. I think the one that said "Come on Tai" was Izzy.
Sam:	(Imitates game show buzzer) Wrong. That's Sora. (As the others express their doubts, Sam turns on her computer.) I've got screen caps of the whole movie, I'll prove that's Sora.
(Suddenly there is a flash of light, and a creature, slightly smaller than Cubmon appears.)
Cubmon:	Yay! Another digimon is here!
(The new digimon jumps into Sam's arms, and Sam turns to Cubmon.)
Sam:	So, Cubmon. Are you going to introduce us?
Cubmon:	(Hops onto Patricia's head) Sure! This is Larvamon. He's a vaccine type digimon, just like me! (Turns to Larvamon) This is my partner, Patricia. Those two are Tanya and Julia. And your partner...
Larvamon:	...Is Samantha. (He turns to Sam.) Hello, I'm very pleased to meet you... (he turns to the others)...and all of you.
Sam:	And I'm pleased to meet you. You can call me Sam.
Larvamon:	(nods) Here's your digivice. (Hands Sam a green digivice)
Sam:	Thanks!
Tanya:	You're sure quiet compared to Cubmon.
Larvamon:	All digimon have different personalities. Cubmon is known to be rather hyperactive, but of course it is our differences that make us who we are.
Sam:	Anyway, time to finish what I started. (She goes to the computer and searches through the screen caps for a few minutes) Okay, here it is. (She shows the others five pictures from the movie) Okay, it's obvious that the two boys with the binoculars are Matt and T.K., and the boy with the phone is Joe, and the girl in bed is Mimi... (She closes each picture as it's identified)
Julia:	(Points to a boy wearing an orange top) Is that Izzy?
Sam:	(Nods, and closes the picture)So that leaves...
Patricia, Tanya, and Julia:	Sora.
Sam:	Right! Now let's go watch the next movie.
(Everyone goes back to the t.v. to watch the next movie. When it ends, Larvamon turns to Sam)
Larvamon:	That was tense!
(Cubmon nods in agreement, then Tanya turns to Sam.)
Tanya:	So, that's what Yolie was talking about later in season 2!
Sam:	(nods) Right! Just one mistake I'd like to point out. If that really was a nuclear missle, the impact would probably have set it off. It was probably just an ordinary missle.
(The others nod in agreement, then Sam starts the third movie. When the third movie ends, Cubmon turns to Patricia.)
Cubmon:	So, that was Davis! And armor digivolving is so cool!
Patricia:	I hope I find a digi-egg. Then you'll be able to armor digivolve too!
Julia:	And I hope Tanya and I get digimon partners too!
Tanya:	I want a bird type digimon! Then we can go flying together. (She adjusts her pilot's goggles)
Sam:	You and flying! If I didn't know better, I'd say you were born in an airplane!
(Everyone laughs.)
